Santa’s Helper highlights

Each year, in the month of November, Defend the Fatherless collects gift cards through local physical and virtual angel trees that are used to help bring Christmas cheer to our local foster community. Families who have children from York County in their care are able to sign up to receive these gift cards and then have the joy and bonding experience of shopping for the children in their home.

The first weekend of December, Defend the Fatherless hosted a Christmas Party at Elevation Church, Riverwalk. Families were invited to come pick up their gift cards while enjoying a morning of holiday fun. Those who attended were treated to a hot chocolate/coffee truck, bounce houses, face painting, crafts and a delicious chef prepared breakfast. Of course, Santa made an appearance as well!

Through the generosity of our community, Defend the Fatherless was able to provide Christmas gifts to 184 children in foster care this holiday season!!!
